This class is by Zoom only.  Registration required.  See your Newsletter or call the office.  If you have previously registered for earlier sessions of this class, you do not need to register again.

​The next class on January 19th will begin a new discussion or the Book of Job.  The new translation of Job by Edward Greenstein is recommended, but all translations are welcome.

All readings for the class will come from the Jewish Bible (TaNaKh).  The JPS (Jewish Publication Society) translation is suggested.  You can purchase a JPS TaNakh by calling the Israel Book Shop  (617-566-7113) or Kolbo (1-800-238-8743)  or by ordering from Jewish Publication Society

The JPS translation and Hebrew text are available online at Sefaria HERE.  If you would like to compare translations, you can find the widely used King James version HERE.

Another really interesting translation is by Robert Alter -- you can read it online (when you sign up for a free trial account) HERE.
