YOM KIPPUR KOL NIDRE Service Sunday, September 27th - 6:00 to 8:00 pm We invite you to follow the tradition of wearing white and refraining from wearing leather on Yom Kippur and to have Yahrzeit and Yontiff candles ready for blessings at the beginning of the service. Yom Kippur Morning Service Monday, September 28th - 9:30 am to 12:00 pm We invite you to follow the tradition of wearing white and refraining from wearing leather on Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur Afternoon Services Monday, September 28th 3:00 - 3:55 pm - Meditation led by Kanta Lipsky 4:00 - 4:30 pm - Yizkor Service 4:35 - 4:55 pm - Avodah Service Led by Rabbi Brian Walt. A reimagined ritual to help us embody humility and release. 5:00 - 5:15 pm - Eleh Ezkerah A moment of social justice recognition, honoring people who gave their lives for our values. Featuring MVHC members working toward social justice. 5:15 - 6:15 pm - Afternoon Service Led by Rabbi Broitman and Yoel Sykes, the service will be a journey toward Ne’ilah through chanting and Kavvanot (spiritual intentions). This service includes the chanting and discussion of the Book of Jonah. 6:15 - 7:09 pm - Ne’ilah A special service unique to Yom Kippur that marks the closing of the gates and an end to the days of awe. 7:09 pm - Final Shofar Blast 7:10pm - Havdalah 7:15 - Motzi and Shmooze |
