COVID-19 Protocols

Picture
As a synagogue we follow CDC guidance. The CDC local levels for our county have moved to GREEN, therefore, we are mask friendly in all synagogue spaces for members and visitors.  We will continue to follow a stop-light system:

When local levels of COVID are low (green) we will be mask friendly for anyone who chooses to wear a mask, but will neither recommend nor require masks. When local levels are at medium (yellow), we will be recommending mask wearing but not requiring it. If local levels of COVID become high (red), we may move to again require masks.
If you’d like to check where we are at any given time, please see this CDC local tracker.

Our medical advisers have several recommendations for helping to keep The Hebrew Center a safer place for all:
  • If you, or someone in your household, has COVID-19 symptoms (regardless of your COVID rapid test results), for the sake of others in the community, please stay home and join us online.
  • If you have tested positive for COVID-19, adhere to all CDC guidelines regarding isolation and mask-wearing. During your isolation period, please join us online rather than in person.
  • If you have recently concluded your isolation period from COVID and are returning to the synagogue, we are pleased that you are feeling better; welcome back! Please continue to wear a well-fitting mask around others at home and in public on day 6 through day 10 after the end of your 5-day isolation period. If you are unable to wear a mask when around others, please continue to isolate for a full 10 days.
  • Vaccination is a Jewish value.  We expect you to be up-to-date on all applicable vaccinations per CDC guidelines for your age and medical conditions.
  • If you are at high risk of complications from COVID-19 due to immunosuppression, speak with your healthcare provider about whether you are eligible for preventative treatment, such as Evusheld. Treatments are available for COVID-19, including oral medications and monoclonal antibodies. If you contract COVID-19, contact your healthcare provider to discuss whether you should receive treatment.
We are so delighted you will be joining us at the Hebrew Center!  A word about COVID: your best protection is to be vaccinated and wear masks as appropriate. Of course, COVID is very complex and there can be no certainty as to who it might affect or where or when.  Please note that by coming in person you are recognizing and accepting this risk.
As always, if you or anyone in your family is not feeling well, please exercise caution and join us virtually.

Please note, COVID policies are subject to change.
