2020 Annual Meeting
Buildings & Grounds Committe Annual Report

Building and Grounds Annual Report

Our building is now 25 years old! In order to keep it vital for the next 25 years, our committee focuses on several inter-related concerns:

1. MAINTENANCE is ongoing; we anticipate some major work in the near future when we must replace our roof and exterior shingling.

2. LONG-TERM PLANNING informs our decisions as we evaluate how we anticipate using our campus. Over the last few years, many of us have envisioned bumping out certain spaces, updating bathrooms, enhancing storage, upgrading HVAC, installing solar panels, increasing handicap access. The sooner we can get consensus within our congregation on these improvements, the more efficiently we can incorporate them into the imminent need to replace the roof and exterior.

3. SECURITY issues are also a part of evaluating how we use our building in the present, as well as the future. The Security Committee has been upgrading our cameras, doors, locks, etc.

4. SUSTAINABILITY inspires us to recycle, upgrade our HVAC, install solar panels, and plan for our children’s future utilizing our building.
