Dear Families,
I
am highlighting all the important dates for the upcoming start
of the school year. Please feel free to email me if you have any
questions or concerns at mvhc.school@verizon.net. I wish you all

Rosh
Hashanah- Wednesday, September 8th- Evening Service at 6:00
PM.

Rosh
Hashanah - Thursday, September 9th. It is an excused absence
at school to observe Rosh Hashanah. Please bring your children
to the Children's Service in the tent in the back of the M.V.H.C.
at 10 AM. This service is geared for children 4-8. Older children
should join the main service. We have childcare for younger
children. We will provide a snack after the service and we will
have an art project. Please let me know if you would like to
help with the service or art project.

Day of Religious School- Wednesday, September 15th. 3:30-5:30
PM Grades 3-7. Please send in your registration forms before
the start of school.

Parent
meeting for ALL PARENTS with children in BOTH Wednesday and
Friday programs-Wednesday, September 15th 5 PM. This is a mandatory
meeting where we will discuss the school year, expectations,
curriculum and parent involvement. If you will not be able to
attend, please contact me and arrange a private meeting.

Soup
in the Sukkah- Wednesday, September, 22nd at 5:30 PM for the
entire congregation- See more info in the Hagefen.

Simchat
Torah- Wednesday, September 29th- No Religious School. Instead,
we will have a family workshop focusing on Simchat Torah at
5 PM followed by a Simchat Torah Celebration. Mandatory for
all Wednesday students in lieu of class. Pizza/salad dinner
$5/person will be included. We will be honoring all the Shabbat
B'Yachad children during the celebration.

Day of Shabbat B'Yachad- Friday, October 1st- 5:15-6:30- This
weekly program is for children age 4-2nd grade. We will light
candles, sing Shabbat songs, braid challah, read stories and
do art projects.
