Looking for Members

What has been the Martha's Vineyard Hebrew Center's Minhag or Religious Practices Committee is re-forming after a short hiatus. The Committee's responsibilities include working with Rabbi Broitman to create programs that enhance the Jewish spiritual life of members and determining and carrying the religious practice for the Center. We plan holiday and Shabbat services, choose prayer and other religious books, choose ritual objects, and more. This is a good Committee to join if you would like to learn more about Jewish religious practices and why we do what we do. We will be learning about some aspect of an upcoming holiday or Shabbat at each of our meetings. It is the Committee to join if you would like to have a say about our synagogue's religious practice. We would welcome a diversity of perspectives on the Committee, which would represent the diversity in our Center. It is the Committee to join if you would like to give back a little, as we generally have more work to do than we can handle.
