Martha's Vineyard

Membership

Welcome to the Martha's Vineyard Hebrew Center. We are delighted that you have shown a desire to join our growing community. The Center was founded in May of 1940 and is affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism, the national organization for the Reform Movement.

Truly, then and now, it fulfills
the ancient requirements of
the SYNAGOGUE; it is BEIT HA
MIDRASH, a house of instruction,
BEIT HA TFILLAH, a house of
prayer, BEIT HA KNESSET,
a house of assembly.

The MVHC welcomes all Jews and their families to become members of the Congregation regardless of their marital status, sexual orientation or financial circumstances. A non-Jewish partner is considered a member in good standing and welcome to share in the fellowship of the Congregation.

Members assume the responsibility to support the Congregation services and facilities by the payment of dues and assessments as determined by the Board of Trustees.

We offer a number of spiritual, educational, cultural and social programs and experiences. From our Shabbat and holiday services to our adult education to our Summer Film and Scholars' Series, there is something for everyone to enjoy and learn from.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have regarding the Hebrew Center.

B'virkat shalom (blessings of peace),
